My name Joseph Hamel, a member of U.S.Navy C.B. Battlion 105 under the command af Commander McKay ocala Fl.Built the air strip beginning Dec 1944.I was a Motor Mack The first unit to use this airfield was U.S Army Jolly Rogers a B 24 bomb group and later on various Navy and Marine air groups.
